I was driving and thinking today and I think our choices in life boil down to this
overcome
whatever you face, deal with it, work on it, persevere or
succumb
give in, allow failure to take over, offer no resistance, give up
It's a mind set.
And the mind set of our country is changing and so should each individual's.
MLK's words - "We shall overcome." Have more meaning to me now, today, with this new presidency to begin tomorrow.
Let's overcome the biases, the prejudices, the mind sets, the hard wiring, the obstacles, the closed minds, the inflexibility.
No harm ever came from being open.
