Ed's New New Year's Tradition

Ed saw a little chicklet on yahoo that showed a lady making an award winning pie.

For some reason he decided that he wanted to make that pie.

So he did,  on New Year's Day.

I supervised (pointing out where things are located in the kitchen as he doesn't seem to know this), but he did all the work. He was the Little Red Hen.

So what follows is his process to a great tasting pie.

Mixing the crust ( he did break the hand tool., a little too strong for the job)

Ready to roll
and in the pan.

The "other" tool we had to buy to make this wonderful pie.

It really did work slick.

Perfect slices

layered in the crust

with sugar and cinnamon sprinkled in between.
Hot out of the oven

Cooled, sliced and ready to eat.
It truly was delicious. He did a great job. This can be an annual tradition or more, if he likes. (I rather doubt he likes, but the offer is open.)
