When you have the time

you have no excuse for putting things off.

That's the bad part about retirement.

So our front bay window faces the south and gets so hot. The wood mutton bars are dried out. They needed to be restrained and painted.

Hmmm, wonder who has time to do that?

So I tackled the job.

The mutton bar on the left is the one being refinished. Big difference, right? Had to be done.

Then I revarnished the wood on the base. It's drying here. Ed didn't particularly care for my job on this and he redid it. That's the way to get him to do work. Do it poorly.

I even restrained around the windows.

My work station. What's missing are my plastic gloves. I can't stand to get my hands dirty. I LOVE plastic gloves!

And it's all finished now. Check! Good for another twenty years.
