Poetry

I sometimes write poetry. I don't think I'm a poet, but I recently took an online poetry class through the University of Iowa and I learned a lot.

What I discovered is that yes, I can write poetry, HOWEVER, there is a lot I do not know and I feel very inferior to some of the poets who spoke. I just never read that much into poetry, some said you don't have to, others, well, you could feel their emphasis on interpretation.

So here's a little experiment I tried.

with hands so large

her waist circumferenced

she rises to his face

he laughs

she giggles

 legs dangling down

a kiss to her cheek

crying, no daddy 

the scene repeats once more
