You must go!
This movie was powerful, riveting, not one wasted second of film.
I know there is always controversy as to the historical accuracy of a film such as this, but the essence of the theme of mistreatment of people cannot be mistaken.
I thought the director, Ava DuVernay, had just the right touch in the film. I will forever believe her feminine approach is noticeably different than that of a male. The way she viewed the marches, the interactions, the sadness. It was all very emotionally charged and not overly so.
We need to feel the angst and sadness. We need to be ashamed. We need to feel anger at the ignorance.
We need to feel.
