in Time
Each moment
contains every moment,
the essence of our youth
when time was invincibility
at its height
as we forged forward,
without trepidation
taking for granted
forever.
Slowly transitioning to adulthood
with a recognition of past and future,
colliding in our anxious minds.
Until we settle to understand
the brevity of time
each moment,
a circle,
widening
to accept life’s imprint.
Hold it, savor it, and be open
to what comes next.
