A student wrote this in a story that I was editing. Usually I am VERY good at reading and deciphering invented spelling, but in context this made no sense to me.
So I asked.
She said: Mowlawner.
Me: Mowlawner? Hmm, I'm not sure what you mean.
She: You know the thing you cut the grass with.
Me: Oh, you mean lawn mower!
Not only can I be in charge of security when people are in lines or coming in mass to a building in retirement, I can decipher spy codes. I'm also good at detective work.
