Finally

someone is bringing the issue of standardized testing inconsistencies, incompetencies and failure to deliver any results to the public.

John Oliver's May 3 theme was Standardized Testing on his show, Last Week Tonight. From my viewpoint he got it just right. All the issues teachers have felt since the inception of No Child Left Behind were brought to the forefront.

1) The amount of testing has increased
2) The stress of testing has increased
3) Student test results do NOT reflect teacher competency
4) Testing (accountability) does NOT insure growth, improvement and BETTER scores.

Oh, it is so good.
