The one that was not correct and then the correct one?
Well, just to show you how things change daily and can get screwed up with ease...
Today was our walk through the house to check on any imperfections.
Here was the bannister ....

| These light reflections are scratches.... |
Supposedly the place was to be "cleaned" for our tour, but the lady who cleaned rammed her shoulder pac vacuum against the bannister and damaged the not yet cured stain.
Then there is still a window broken because the exterior painters placed their ladder against it to paint.
Then they turned on the water to test it and one of three screws to HOLD A TOILET IN PLACE was not connected (honestly how does that happen...ADHD, incompetence) so the water overflowed and into the heat ducts.
Then there is a place in the basement where LONG ago they should have placed a support pole and when they finally did they did not replace the cement on the floor surrounding it. So cement has to be taken into the basement.
And there are appliances to go in...
While we know all this will be completed our concern is that all the drops cloths we had placed have been removed (for our "tour") and won't be replaced, so we will complete this task. (The workers do NOT remove shoes when they enter. There is a sign, in English, stating such, but most of the workers speak Spanish.)
None of these errors are major, but one thing leads to another, just like the bannister and it's like a comedy of errors, all leading to a sad conclusion: people don't care. What happened to work ethic? Respect? Conscientious behavior?
I repeat. June 8th can't come soon enough.
