Vail

Our last stop was Vail. It was created in 1962 and it shows. Everything is so well planned. The village seems just like that, a little Swiss or Alpine village. So many chalet type buildings.

And then the massive high-rise for all the skiers.

The Aspens here were interspersed and just starting to turn. It was a great time of the year for the trip.

We had lunch at this restaurant at the base of the gondola. The air was cool, 60, but with the sun it felt like 70. We ate outside. Ah, love.
